Gustaf Håkansson of Sector Insight contacted us with a crazy game request
- 'I'd like Tesla cars for obstacles, the collectibles should be cola bottles and the main character should look like the Stonks meme sitting on a rocket. Instead of water he is "swimming" in the atmosphere and jumps for cash instead of stars in space. Ugly and crazy! A scoreboard would also be much appreciated.'
How could we refuse such a request!
Gamestonks capitalised on the The GameStop (GME) eruption that was portrayed as the product of wildly irrational investor behavior – a “frenzy,” a “speculative orgy”.
During the development process we pushed Gustaf's ideas a little further, addingin more an 80's retro feel and mash-up of the space pop tart cat with the with Stonks head.
